Your electricity bill is a decision, not a fact.

A free one-day masterclass in Kumasi on switching to solar — what it really costs in 2026, what it saves you every month, and how to buy it without tying up capital.

    Why we are running this

Most people in Kumasi, and by extension Ghana, are pricing solar off a quote they saw years ago.

Solar is far cheaper than it was when we started installing in 2014, and grid power is far more expensive. For most businesses and many homes, the crossover happened some time ago, quietly, without anyone announcing it.

So this is NOT a sales presentation. It is a class. Six modules and customers of ours who will tell you plainly what switching has been like. You bring three months of bills. You leave with your own numbers and you decide what you want to do with them.

The grid tariff has only ever moved in one direction. The cost of generating your own has moved in the other.

There will be a number of sessions.

    The cost of power

For CEOs, MDs and business owners

    • Electricity is one of your largest controllable costs — and the only one bought at a price someone else sets each year.
    • You do not need capital. Flexipay is a monthly payment set against a bill you are already paying.
    • Fix your energy cost for a decade instead of re-budgeting it every tariff review.
    • Give your staff solar at home, on monthly terms, at no cost to the company.

    The syllabus

Six modules. Half a day. No jargon.

    1

    Where your money actually goes

Reading your bill line by line — what you pay per unit, what the fixed charges are, and how much of it is avoidable.

    2

    How solar works

Panels, inverter, batteries, the grid — explained plainly, with a live system running in the room.

    3

Batteries, and why lithium changed the maths

Lithium against lead-acid over ten years, with replacement cycles counted. This is the module that changes most minds.

    4

    Sizing it for you

Matching a system to what you actually run, so you neither overspend nor end up disappointed.

    5

    Paying for it

Outright purchase against Flexipay lease-to-own. What the monthly payment looks like next to the bill it replaces.

    6

    Buying well

Judging a quotation, warranties, monitoring, after-sales. The questions to ask any installer in Ghana — including us.

Then the clinic. After each session, sit down one-to-one with an engineer, bring out your bills, and get an indicative system size and a monthly saving figure worked out on the spot. No obligation, no pressure to sign anything on the day.

    Who is teaching

We have been doing this in Ghana since 2014.

Translight Solar is a Ghanaian solar engineering and financing company with offices in Accra and Kumasi, certified in-house engineers and technicians, and a client list that runs from single households to industrial rooftops — TotalEnergies Ghana and Wire Weaving among them.

    The other reason

The cheaper option happens to be the clean one.

Every business we speak to now has some version of a sustainability question on its desk. From a parent company, a lender, an export buyer, or a board. Solar is the rare answer that satisfies it and reduces cost at the same time.

We will show you how to put a number on it: the diesel you stop burning, the emissions you stop producing, and how to report it credibly rather than claim it vaguely.

    • Cut generator hours, and the diesel, servicing and noise that go with them.
    • Produce figures you can put in a sustainability or ESG report, not slogans.
    • Meet the environmental conditions increasingly attached to finance and to international buyers.
    • Take load off a national grid that is straining. Every rooftop helps the one next door.
